Porn and real life. Scenario 8 of 15. The people on screen

Who agreed to this?

A link turns up in a group chat with the caption "leaked 👀". You open it. It is a video that looks as if it was filmed without the woman knowing, in what seems to be her own bedroom.

A couple of people in the chat have already reacted.

What is the best call?
Not the best call

It makes a difference to her. Every view is another person seeing something she never agreed to share. Videos like this stay up because people click on them. Sharing intimate images without consent is a crime.

Good call

You have stopped being part of the audience and done the one thing that can get it taken down. Saying so in the chat matters too, because it tells the person who posted it that people do not want this.

Could be better

You have not watched it or passed it on, and that counts. But the video is still up and the chat still thinks it is fine. A report takes a minute and is usually anonymous.

Not the best call

Whatever your reason, you have now shared it, and it has reached someone new. If she did not consent to it being made or posted, it does not matter whether it is real, staged or faked. Do not pass it on.

The principle

Consent applies to the people on screen. If something looks secret, leaked, faked or underage, do not watch it or share it. Report it. Sexual images of anyone under 18 can be reported to the Internet Watch Foundation.
